The Answers You Need
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A SCAN?
Remember that you want to show your space in it's best condition and light. Ensure that everything is tidied away, clean and well laid out. Declutter, refresh decor and remove anything that you don't want on display for the World to see. Pets and people will need to be out of the rooms as each floor is scanned. If in doubt please ask our advice and will be glad to help.
HOW LONG WILL A SCAN TAKE AND HOW SOON WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?
A typical 3 or 4 bed home takes around 90 minutes to scan. However, larger or more complex spaces may take longer. Each scan position takes a few seconds to record but a new position has scanned within about 4 metres of the previous one.
Once all the raw data is captured we will submit the data to Matterport so that they can create the finished article. This is generally returned to us within 48 working hours.
WHO HOLDS OWNERSHIP OF THE FINISHED SCAN?
There are two sets of data for each scan. The raw data collected by the camera - this remains on the hard drive and you can have a copy of that.
The second set of data is the finished article which is hosted by Matterport and the link is loaned to you or your agent.
CAN YOU TAKE STILL IMAGES FROM THE SCAN OR WILL I NEED A PHOTOGRAPHER AS WELL?
Still images can be taken from the scan so that you can highlight and showcase your favourite images. We can also take 360º images of outside your building and link them to points to re-enter the building. The 4K camera captures clear images through windows to that you can admire the view.
HOW MUCH DOES A SCAN COST?
Scan costs are dependent on the number of scan points and the size of the area to be scanned. The majority of scans fall between £195 and £395 + vat. Please call or contact to discuss with our professional Matterport Service Provider.
